Unicorns of Love replace Splyce as the European IEM Oakland invite, while Flash Wolves, INTZ e-Sports, and The Chiefs eSports Club confirm their place in the lineup

After fighting hard at the 2016 World Championship, Splyce decided to take a break and withdrew from the IEM Oakland lineup, leaving Unicorns of Love to represent Europe on stage at the Oracle Arena. Flash Wolves remain the LMS representatives after placing first in their region’s Summer Split and confirming their invitation to Oakland.

Over the weekend, two International Wildcard teams secured their spot in the IEM Oakland lineup after battling through the IEM Challenger bracket at Paris Games Week. INTZ e-Sports came out on top and will head to the Oracle Arena to represent Brazil. This team is no stranger to top-tier League of Legends competition, as they qualified for Worlds, but fell in the group stages. Representing Oceania, The Chiefs eSports Club are the second International Wildcard team that made their way to Oakland through IEM Challenger.
