Intel Extreme Masters returns to the Bay Area for the third year in a row. After two great events in San Jose, IEM will set new standards at the Oracle Arena in Oakland. At home of the “Golden State Warriors”, the world best gamers will play for the IEM Oakland championship.

CS:GO Format

  • Round robin group stage with two groups of six.
  • First placed teams in both groups will advance to the semifinals of the playoffs.
  • Second and third placed teams in both groups will advance to the quarterfinals of the playoffs.
  • Quarter and semifinals will be best-of-three. Finals will also be best-of-three.

LoL Format

  • Single elimination bracket with six teams. The playoffs will consist of two quarterfinals, two semifinals and a grand final.
  • All played in best-of-three mode.

Teams also earn $1.000 per win in the groupstage.

Side activities

Just like last year in San Jose, we will make sure all attendees have plenty of side activities to participate in when not watching the matches:

  • Balloon artists - they’re back! The famous balloon artists return to make you your favorite champions out of balloons.
  • Airbrush Tattoos - show your support for your favorite team and get an aibrush tattoo with their logo!
  • Signing sessions - meet your favorite pro players, get an autograph and take a photo!
